Jan 28,  · If your turntable automatically finds the end of a record and returns the arm to its holder, it might not work, but manual turntables will play endlessly, even if the vinyl does not have a locked groove. It’s a great way to design your own analog beats. + Read more: Also from Max Alper, “Pauline Oliveros Made Me a Better Listener” 3.

There are two Talking Heads albums I have especially liked over the years, 'Remain in Light' and 'Speaking in Tongues'. Both have been re-issued on vinyl via Rhino Records. Both releases are quite good, much better than the original LPs I have. Quiet surfaces and better sound, lots of 'punch' to the bass and rhythm lines. Recommended on vinyl /5().

This album is a bit different from your first listen of "Bullets" from the original 7" record. Sometimes years of playing and gigging can change a life, or lives. I remember asking Chris what the next album would sound like after a gig during the "End-Start" tour. He laughed and said "you would probobly know better than me" with a laugh/5(38).

Anyways, as you can see from the drawing (furniture layout included) I'm having a hard time deciding which way to run the planks. I've been told to run them the direction the light enters the home which would be perpendicular to the rear wall of windows where the views are. I've also read that I should run them longways through the home.

There are plenty of business-related grievances to be filed against the annual vinyl celebration, but it’s hard to argue with the spirit of a day encouraging people to explore and buy new music. Moreover, vinyl’s just more fun as a format than MP3s or CDs; there’s.

Jul 25,  · The average new release LP [see footnote 2] goes out into record store display racks for around US$ You compared top end digital files to a low end turntable. Every vinyl fan will see this and dismiss the article and they should. John H. Darko says: Of course a big part of the Vinyl fun is that different turntable setups sound.

The vinyl LP is a format based on technology that hasn't evolved much over the last six decades: in some ways, it's the audio equivalent of driving a Ford Pilot. Sonically, vinyl has both.
